The Outer Worlds

Obsidian Entertainment's The Outer Worlds is a first-person shooter game with role-playing features. The game is set in an alternate future where megacorporations have colonized the galaxy and have control over everything, including the people. The player takes on the role of a character that has been frozen for 70 years, and upon waking up, they find themselves in a new society that has transformed drastically from what they knew.

As the player goes through different missions, they will encounter different factions, each with their own agendas and values. The choices made during gameplay will have consequences on how the story progresses, and ultimately lead to different endings.

One of the unique features of the game is the "Companion System," which allows the player to recruit up to six companions that will accompany them on their journey. Each companion has their own backstory, abilities, and unique side quests that will develop their character further.
